\u00a0The best way to look after your dog\u2019s paws in winter is of course preventative treatment, but help is close at hand even if the skin does dry out or crack.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A dog\u2019s paws are subjected to a good deal of wear and tear all year round, but especially so in winter. Ice, snow, sanding and salting create their own difficulties for dogs. The skin on a dog\u2019s paw pads is prone to drying out and cracking, and one of the resulting pain and discomfort may be that your four-footed companion starts to tread carefully outdoors.<\/p>\n

One solution could be slippers \u2013 but many dogs are far from keen on having anything put on their paws. And in many cases, they\u2019re not even necessary.<\/p>\n
